Hi,
I am a dev and I've been coding since I was around 8 years old.
In 1996 I got a BSc in Artificial Intelligence - just as the DotCom boom was taking off.
When I left uni I got a job building my first web application - this was sold in 1999
Buoyed by my early success, I went on to co-found my first business in 2000 - a tool for making ecommerce apps - which I later sold in 2007
Throughout this time, my passion was still with AI - particularly around the science of Complexity and the field of Emergence
In 2004, I decided to go back to Uni to do an MSc in "Artificial Life" to surround myself with peers who shared my passion for emergence and AI
A few years later, in 2010, I met an entrepreneur with whom I co-founded Genie Mobile (a tool for making mobile apps for the events sector) - it was a great success and we sold the business in 2014.
A year later I left the UK to travel the world - and ended up in Australia where I met my wife and started my family.
In 2019 my business partner and I co-founded another business (OpsBase) which we sold in 2021.
Late 2022, with the advent of ChatGPT, I shifted focus from pure SaaS to Generative AI
I now run an AI consultancy - helping numerous businesses take advantage of the Gen AI in the modern age.
My AI projects have included:-
- AI-driven Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) systems
- Numerous AI-driven business process automations
- The creation of an AI mental health life-coach
- The creation of an AI orchestration framework
- An experimental approach to autonomous AI
